He earned his bachelor's degree at Louisiana State University, and he completed his medical degree and residency at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. Smith, a Monroe native, shares his surgical expertise with medical students and surgery residents as a part-time assistant professor at Ochsner LSU Health in Monroe. He is also a member of the Ouachita Medical Society.
Smith, who opened the Surgery Clinic of Northeast Louisiana with partners Dr. Walter Sartor and Dr. Bart Liles, appreciates his colleagues.
"I feel extremely lucky to have the partners I have. We all complement each other well."
